Joseph, Myers & Co of London becomes the first company to have a steam powered model locomotive in their catalog. Carogatti in Konigsberg becomes the first German company to do so in 1869.The models of this time always ran on the floor, most were fueled by ethanol.

The Underground Railroad Shoppe is an authorized Lionel Service Station with a complete in-house repair shop.

The nicely lighted show room is located north of New Castle on Route 18. Entrance is made through a beautiful reproduction of a Pennsylvania Railroad red caboose. Experienced and friendly sales people will answer your questions and help you find what you are looking for.

Railroad memorabilia, videos, and all types of toy train accessories are featured in a very enjoyable and nostalgic trip to the past.

During the winter months (November, December, January) be sure to visit our fabulous Lionel Train Layout display which features over 600 sq. ft of O gauge trains, figures and animated accessories, complete with thousands of lights, lighted bulldings and a unique railroad sound system. There are 12 main lines running, controlled by an electronic control system produced by Depotronics, Inc., and the area's largest animated amusement park.

The three tiered layout has provided thrills for thousands of children and adults every holiday season. Each year, new additions to the display provide added interest.
